📌 1. What is 안?

is placed before a verb or adjective to simply negate it — to say something doesn’t happen, isn’t true, or that the subject chooses not to do it.
🇵🇭 Inilalagay ang BAGO ang pandiwa o pang-uri para basta pasubaliin ito — para sabihing hindi nangyayari, hindi totoo, o pinili ng paksa na huwag gawin ito.

[Basic pattern] 안 + Verb/Adjective

Special rule: For “noun + 하다” verbs (like 일하다, 운동하다), put 안 BETWEEN the noun and 하다.
✅ 오늘은 일 해요. (NOT 안 일해요)
✅ 나는 운동 해요.

💡 TIP: A second way to say “not”
Instead of 안, you can attach -지 않다 AFTER the verb or adjective — same meaning, just a different position!
🇵🇭 Sa halip na 안, maaari mong idikit ang -지 않다 PAGKATAPOS ng pandiwa o pang-uri — parehong kahulugan, iba lang ang posisyon!
Example: 비가 안 와요. = 비가 오지 않아요. (both mean “It’s not raining.”)

📖 2. Example Sentences

Korean Meaning (English / Tagalog)
비가 와요. 🇺🇸 It’s not raining.
🇵🇭 Hindi umuulan.
흐엉은 기분이 좋아요. 🇺🇸 Huong is not in a good mood.
🇵🇭 Hindi maganda ang mood ni Huong.
가: 날씨가 좋아요? 나: 아니요, 좋아요. 🇺🇸 A: Is the weather good? B: No, it’s not good.
🇵🇭 Maganda ba ang panahon? / Hindi, hindi maganda.
오늘은 일 해요. 🇺🇸 I’m not working today.
🇵🇭 Hindi ako magtatrabaho ngayon.
💡 Quick tip: The trickiest part isn’t 안 itself — it’s remembering that for “noun + 하다” verbs, 안 slides in the MIDDLE (일 안 해요), not the front (안 일해요). Practice this one carefully!
