Today, we are going to learn Chapter 7-2: ask and answer questions about the weather.
After this lesson, you will be able to ask and answer questions about the weather in Korean.
But if you haven’t studied the Vocabulary and Grammar for this chapter yet, go back and master those first!

📌 1. The Dialogue

Korean Meaning
다라: 여보세요? 투이 씨, 하노이는 지금 날씨가 어때요? Hello? Thuy, how is the weather in Hanoi now?
Hello? Thuy, kumusta ang panahon sa Hanoi ngayon?
투이: 비가 많이 와요. 서울에도 비가 와요? It’s raining a lot. Is it raining in Seoul too?
Malakas ang ulan. Umuulan din ba sa Seoul?
다라: 아니요, 비가 안 와요. No, it’s not raining.
Hindi, hindi umuulan.
투이: 그럼 많이 더워요? Then is it very hot?
Sobra bang init?
다라: 오늘은 바람이 불어요. 별로 안 더워요. It’s windy today. It’s not really hot.
Mahangin ngayon. Hindi masyadong mainit.

💡 Nova’s Tip

‘안’ goes right before the verb or adjective to make it negative — 안 더워요, 안 가요. It’s the short, casual way to say ‘not’!

🇵🇭 Ang ‘안’ ay nilalagay bago ang verb o adjective para gawing negative — 안 더워요, 안 가요. Ito ang maikli, casual na paraan ng pagsasabi ng ‘hindi’!
