② How to Use These Words in Real Korean

1. Korean often drops the subject.
When the situation is clear, one word is a full sentence: 커요. = “(It) is big.” That’s why we write the meaning as (am/are/is) big — it can be “I am”, “you are”, “it is”…
🇵🇭 Madalas tinatanggal ang subject sa Korean. Ang “커요.” ay buong pangungusap na: “Malaki (ito).”
2. Raise your voice at the end → it becomes a question!
커요? ↗ = “Is it big?”
Answer: 네, 커요. ↘ (Yes, it’s big.) / 아니요, 작아요. ↘ (No, it’s small.)
👉 Answering “아니요” with the opposite word is exactly what you practice in the Q&A mode above — and it’s a common EPS-TOPIK listening question type!
🇵🇭 Itaas ang boses sa dulo → nagiging tanong! “커요? ↗” = “Malaki ba?” Sagot: “아니요, 작아요.” (Hindi, maliit.)
3. Add a noun + 이/가 for a full sentence.
가방이 커요. (The bag is big.) · 방이 넓어요. (The room is spacious.) · 오늘은 바빠요. (I’m busy today.) · 김치가 맛있어요. (Kimchi is delicious.)
4. Irregular tips 💡
ㅂ → 워요: 춥다 → 추워요 · 더럽다 → 더러워요 · 어둡다 → 어두워요 (but 좁다 → 좁아요 is regular!)
ㅡ drops: 크다 → 커요 · 바쁘다 → 바빠요 · 슬프다 → 슬퍼요 · 나쁘다 → 나빠요
Real sound: 맛있어요 [마시써요] · 넓어요 [널버요] · 편리해요 [펼리해요]
