📌 Why This Lesson Matters

You already know the verb 하다 (to do). But can you say “I will do”, “I have to do”, or “I might do” in Korean? In English, you add a word in front — will do, can do, should do. In Korean, you only change the ending. The front of the verb never moves.

🇵🇭 Alam mo na ang 하다 (to do). Pero kaya mo bang sabihin ang “I will do”, “I have to do”, o “I might do”? Sa English, may dinadagdag sa unahan. Sa Korean, ang dulo lang ang nagbabago.

📖 Before You Start

This lesson will be much easier if you have already studied these three. If any of them is new to you, open it first — then come back here. You will understand everything twice as fast.

🇵🇭 Mas magiging madali ang lesson na ito kung napag-aralan mo na ang tatlong ito. Kung bago sa iyo ang alinman, buksan mo muna — tapos balik ka dito.

🔑 The Golden Rule — Only 3 Shapes

All 46 patterns come from just three shapes of 하다.
The yellow part is the shape. Everything after it is the ending.

하 — the stem, from the dictionary form 하다 · Part 1

하고 있어요  ·
하려고 해요  ·
하고 싶어요  ·
하지 마세요

해 — from 해요, just drop 요 · Part 2

해야 해요  ·
해도 돼요  ·
해 주세요  ·
했어요

할 — stem + ㄹ, the same shape as the future form · Part 4

할 거예요  ·
할 수 있어요  ·
할지도 몰라요  ·
할까요?

🇵🇭 Tatlong anyo lang: 하 · 해 · 할. Ang dilaw ay ang anyo, ang kasunod ay ang ending.

Step 1. Read the English first. The English meaning is at the top of the card. Read it, then stop.

Step 2. Think before you look. Ask yourself: “How do I say this in Korean?” Give yourself 3 seconds. This moment of thinking is where real learning happens.

Step 3. Check and listen. Now look at the red Korean text and press 🔊 Korean. Compare it with your answer. Repeat out loud — again and again.

Step 4. Review tomorrow. Come back the next day and do it again. Endings stick to your memory only through repetition.
