🇵🇭 Teka muna! Mas madali ang grammar kapag alam mo na ang mga salita — kung hindi mo pa naaral ang Chapter 27-1 Vocabulary (National Holidays), i-memorize muna ito! Ngayon, aralin natin ang -는, ang bersyong pandiwa ng isang pattern na kilala mo na.

📌 1. What is -는?

-는 is attached to a verb to describe the noun that comes right after it — showing something happening now, a repeated action, or a general fact.
🇵🇭 Idinidikit ang -는 sa isang pandiwa upang ilarawan ang pangngalang kasunod nito — nagpapakita ng nangyayari ngayon, paulit-ulit na kilos, o pangkalahatang katotohanan.

[Basic pattern] Verb stem + -는 + Noun

This simply means: “the [noun] that [verb]s”

💡 TIP: The verb version of -(으)ㄴ
Remember -(으)ㄴ from Chapter 15-2? That was for adjectives describing a noun. -는 does the same job, but for VERBS.
🇵🇭 Naaalala mo ba ang -(으)ㄴ sa Chapter 15-2? Iyon ay para sa mga pang-uri na naglalarawan ng pangngalan. Ganoon din ang gawain ng -는, pero para sa mga PANDIWA.
Compare: 예 바지 (pretty pants — adjective) vs 사진을 찍는 사람 (the person taking a photo — verb)
💡 Remember: “Stem” means removing -다 first! Full explanation in Chapter 4-1.
🇵🇭 Tandaan: tinatanggal muna ang -다 para makuha ang “stem”! Buong paliwanag sa Chapter 4-1.
