📌 1. What is -(으)ㄹ게요?

-(으)ㄹ게요 is attached to a verb to express the speaker’s own intention or promise to do something.
🇵🇭 Idinidikit ang -(으)ㄹ게요 sa isang pandiwa upang ipahayag ang sariling balak o pangako ng nagsasalita na gawin ang isang bagay.

[Basic pattern]
✅ Verb stem WITH a Final Consonant (받침 O) 👉 + -을게요 (e.g., 먹다 → 먹을게요)
✅ Verb stem WITHOUT a Final Consonant, or 받침 ‘ㄹ’ 👉 + -ㄹ게요 (e.g., 가다 → 갈게요)

💡 TIP: Only for “I” — never for questions!
-(으)ㄹ게요 can ONLY be used when talking about yourself (1st person), and it CANNOT be used in a question. It’s most often used as an answer to someone else’s request.
🇵🇭 Ang -(으)ㄹ게요 ay maaari LANG gamitin kapag pinag-uusapan mo ang sarili mo (1st person), at HINDI ito magagamit sa tanong. Kadalasan itong ginagamit bilang sagot sa hiling ng ibang tao.
✅ 제가 빨래를 할게요.   ❌ 이반 씨가 빨래를 할게요.   ❌ 먼저 갈게요?
💡 Remember: “Stem” means removing -다 first! Full explanation in Chapter 4-1.
🇵🇭 Tandaan: tinatanggal muna ang -다 para makuha ang “stem”! Buong paliwanag sa Chapter 4-1.

🇵🇭 Ako na ang mag-aalis ng labada sa hapon.

🇵🇭 Kailangang magluto ng kanin. / Ako na ang magluluto.
💡 Quick tip: Notice 짓다 → 지을게요? That’s another irregular — some verbs ending in ㅅ (like 짓다) drop the ㅅ before a vowel ending. But 웃다, 빗다, 벗다, 씻다 stay regular, so watch out!
