Today, we are going to learn Chapter 33-1: talk about the workplace atmosphere.
After this lesson, you will be able to describe your company and coworkers in Korean.

| 유수프: 좋은 편이에요. 서로 생일도 챙겨 주고 같이 맛있는 것도 자주 먹으러 가요. | It’s pretty good. We celebrate each other’s birthdays and often go out to eat together. Medyo maganda. Inaalala namin ang kaarawan ng isa’t isa at madalas kaming kumain nang sabay. |
| 아궁: 윗분들은 어떠세요? | How are your superiors? Kumusta naman ang mga nakatataas sa inyo? |
| 유수프: 모두 친절하세요. 아궁 씨 회사는 어때요? | They’re all kind. How is your company, Agung? Mababait silang lahat. Ikaw, Agung, kumusta ang kompanya mo? |
| 아궁: 우리 회사는 모임이 별로 없어요. 그런데 회사에서 외국인 근로자들을 많이 격려하고 배려해 줘요. 아플 때는 반장님이 병원에 같이 가 주세요. | There aren’t many gatherings at our company. But the company really encourages and cares for foreign workers. When I’m sick, my banjangnim even goes to the hospital with me. Hindi masyadong maraming pagtitipon sa kompanya namin. Pero sinusuportahan at inaalala nila ang mga dayuhang manggagawa. Kapag may sakit ako, sinasamahan pa ako ni Banjangnim sa ospital. |

‘-는/(으)ㄴ 편이다’ makes your answer soft and polite — 좋은 편이에요 (It’s pretty good). Bonus expression: 힘내요! (Cheer up! / You can do it!) — e.g., 아궁 씨, 잘하고 있어요. 힘내요!
🇵🇭 Ginagawang malumanay at magalang ng ‘-는/(으)ㄴ 편이다’ ang sagot mo — 좋은 편이에요 (Medyo maganda). Bonus: 힘내요! (Kaya mo yan!) — hal., 아궁 씨, 잘하고 있어요. 힘내요!
