Today, we are going to learn Chapter 11-2: talk about household chores.

📌 1. The Dialogue

Korean Meaning
마두: 아궁 씨, 저 마두예요. 지금 기숙사에 있어요? Agung, it’s Madhu. Are you at the dorms now?
Agung, ako si Madhu. Nasa dorm ka ba ngayon?
아궁: 네, 기숙사예요. 그런데 갑자기 왜 전화했어요? Yes, I’m at the dorm. Why did you call so suddenly?
Oo, nasa dorm ako. Bakit ka biglang tumawag?
마두: 아궁 씨, 제가 지금 시내에 있어요. 그런데 비가 와요. 빨래 좀 걷어 주세요. Agung, I’m in the city right now, and it’s raining. Please take my laundry down for me.
Agung, nasa downtown ako ngayon. Umuulan. Pakitanggal naman ang labada ko.
아궁: 그래요? 제가 빨리 빨래를 걷을게요. 천천히 오세요. Oh, I’ll take your laundry down. Don’t worry, take your time.
Sige, tatanggalin ko agad ang labada mo. Huwag ka nang magmadali.

‘-(으)ㄹ게요’ is used to make a promise or offer about what YOU will do — 제가 걷을게요! It signals a decision made on the spot.

🇵🇭 Ang ‘-(으)ㄹ게요’ ay ginagamit para mangako o mag-alok tungkol sa gagawin MO — 제가 걷을게요! Nagpapahiwatig ito ng desisyong ginawa sa mismong sandaling iyon.
