📌 1. What is -(으)려고?

-(으)려고 is attached to a verb to show the intention or purpose behind the action that follows.
🇵🇭 Idinidikit ang -(으)려고 sa isang pandiwa upang ipakita ang layunin o hangarin sa likod ng kilos na susunod.

[Basic pattern]
✅ Verb stem WITH a Final Consonant (받침 O) 👉 + -으려고 (e.g., 읽다 → 읽으려고)
✅ Verb stem WITHOUT a Final Consonant, or 받침 ‘ㄹ’ 👉 + -려고 (e.g., 마시다 → 마시려고, 만들다 → 만들려고)
💡 Remember: “Stem” means removing -다 first! Full explanation in Chapter 4-1.
🇵🇭 Tandaan: tinatanggal muna ang -다 para makuha ang “stem”! Buong paliwanag sa Chapter 4-1.

🇵🇭 Bakit mo na-download ang app na iyon? / Dini-download ko para mag-apply ng mobile banking.
💡 Quick tip: This is your go-to phrase at the bank counter: “통장을 만들려고 왔어요” (I came to open an account) is basically the magic sentence for most bank visits!
