🇵🇭 Teka muna! Mas madali ang grammar kapag alam mo na ang mga salita — kung hindi mo pa naaral ang Chapter 2-2 Vocabulary (Daily Necessities), i-memorize muna ito! Ngayon, aralin natin ang 이/가 아니에요, kung paano sabihing “hindi ito ___” sa Korean.

📌 1. What is 이/가 아니에요?

이/가 아니에요 combines with a noun to say that something about the subject is NOT true. It’s simply the negative form of 이에요/예요, which you learned in Chapter 2-1!
🇵🇭 Ginagamit ang 이/가 아니에요 para sabihing hindi totoo ang isang bagay tungkol sa paksa. Ito lang ay ang negatibong anyo ng 이에요/예요, na natutunan mo sa Chapter 2-1!

[Basic pattern]
✅ Noun WITH a Final Consonant (받침 O) 👉 + 이 아니에요 (e.g., 지갑 → 지갑이 아니에요)
✅ Noun WITHOUT a Final Consonant (받침 X) 👉 + 가 아니에요 (e.g., 의사 → 의사가 아니에요)

💡 TIP: Formal version
In formal situations, 이/가 아니에요 becomes 이/가 아닙니다 — the same way 이에요/예요 becomes 입니다 in formal settings.
🇵🇭 Sa pormal na sitwasyon, ang 이/가 아니에요 ay nagiging 이/가 아닙니다 — tulad ng 이에요/예요 na nagiging 입니다 sa pormal na sitwasyon.
Example: 이건 화장품이 아닙니다. (This is not cosmetics — formal)

저는 인도 사람이 아니에요. 🇺🇸 I am not Indian.
🇵🇭 Hindi ako Indian.
그건 휴지가 아니에요. 🇺🇸 That is not tissue.
🇵🇭 Hindi iyan tissue.
가: 이건 유수프 씨 우산이에요? 🇺🇸 A: Is this Yusuf’s umbrella?
🇵🇭 Payong ba ito ni Yusuf?
나: 아니요, 유수프 씨 우산이 아니에요. 🇺🇸 B: No, it’s not Yusuf’s umbrella.
🇵🇭 Hindi, hindi ito payong ni Yusuf.
💡 Quick tip: Same batchim rule again! (Batchim O = 이 아니에요, Batchim X = 가 아니에요). You’ve now seen this pattern 3 times (은/는, 이에요/예요, and this one) — it’s the most common rule in Korean grammar, so get comfortable with it!
