Today, we are going to learn Chapter 17-1: talk about vacation plans.
After this lesson, you will be able to talk about vacation plans in Korean.

📌 1. The Dialogue

Korean Meaning
마두: 아궁 씨, 이번 휴가 때 뭐 할 거예요? What are you going to do during this vacation, Agung?
Ano ang gagawin mo sa bakasyong ito, Agung?
아궁: 친구하고 부산에 여행을 갈 거예요. I’m going on a trip to Busan with a friend.
Magpupunta ako sa Busan kasama ang kaibigan ko.
마두: 그래요? 부산에 갈 때 뭘 타고 가요? Really? How are you getting to Busan?
Talaga? Ano ang sasakyan mo papunta sa Busan?
아궁: KTX를 탈 거예요. I’m going to take the KTX.
Sasakay ako ng KTX.
마두: 숙소는 예약했어요? Have you booked accommodation?
Nag-book ka na ba ng matutuluyan?
아궁: 네, 싸고 좋은 호텔이 있어서 그 호텔을 예약했어요. Yes, there’s a cheap and nice hotel, so I booked that hotel.
Oo, may murang magandang hotel, kaya doon ako nag-book.

‘-(으)ㄹ 때’ means ‘when’ — 갈 때, 비가 올 때. Use it to talk about a specific time or situation something happens!

🇵🇭 Ang ‘-(으)ㄹ 때’ ay nangangahulugang ‘kapag’ — 갈 때, 비가 올 때. Gamitin ito para sabihin ang tiyak na panahon o sitwasyon!

자야: 왕민 씨, 제주도 여행은 어땠어요? Wangmin, how was your trip to Jejudo Island?
Wangmin, kumusta ang biyahe mo sa Jejudo Island?
왕민: 아주 좋았어요. 경치가 좋고 음식도 맛있었어요. It was very nice. The scenery was beautiful and the food was delicious.
Napakaganda. Maganda ang tanawin at masarap ang pagkain.
자야: 제주도에서 뭐 했어요? What did you do in Jejudo Island?
Ano ang ginawa mo sa Jejudo Island?
왕민: 해수욕장에 갔어요. 그리고 한라산 등산도 했어요. I went to the beach. I also hiked Hallasan Mountain.
Pumunta ako sa beach. Umakyat din ako sa Hallasan Mountain.
자야: 저도 다음 휴가 때 가족하고 제주도에 가려고 해요. I’m planning to go to Jejudo Island with my family for my next vacation.
Balak ko ring pumunta sa Jejudo Island kasama ang pamilya ko sa susunod na bakasyon.
