[한국어 설명] 장소를 가리키거나 물어볼 때 사용하는 네 가지 핵심 단어입니다.

• 여기 (Yeo-gi): 말하는 사람과 가까운 곳[English] A place close to the speaker (Here)

  [Tagalog] Lugar na malapit sa nagsasalita (Dito)

• 거기 (Geo-gi): 듣는 사람과 가까운 곳[English] A place close to the listener (There)

  [Tagalog] Lugar na malapit sa nakikinig (Diyan)

• 저기 (Jeo-gi): 말하는 사람과 듣는 사람 모두에게서 먼 곳[English] A place far from both the speaker and the listener (Over there)

  [Tagalog] Lugar na malayo sa parehong nagsasalita at nakikinig (Doon)

• 어디 (Eo-di): 장소를 물어볼 때 쓰는 말[English] A word used to ask about a place (Where)

[패턴 설명] “어디예요? (Eo-di-ye-yo?)”

‘어디(Where)’ 뒤에 ‘-예요(is/are)’가 붙어 장소를 물어보는 말이 됩니다. “여기는 어디예요?”라고 물으면 “이곳은 어디입니까?”라는 뜻이 됩니다.

[English] “Eo-di” means “Where”. When you add “-ye-yo?”, it becomes “Eo-di-ye-yo?” which means “Where is it?”. So, “Yeo-gi-neun eo-di-ye-yo?” translates to “Where is this place?”.

[Tagalog] Ang “Eo-di” ay ibig sabihin ay “Saan”. Kapag idinagdag ang “-ye-yo?”, ito ay nagiging “Eo-di-ye-yo?” na ang ibig sabihin ay “Saan ito?”. Kaya ang “Yeo-gi-neun eo-di-ye-yo?” ay nangangahulugang “Saan ang lugar na ito?”.
