This is your core formula for daily conversation. Just plug in your name or job to make a perfect sentence.

[TAGALOG] Ito ang iyong “core formula” para sa pang-araw-araw na pag-uusap. Ilagay lamang ang iyong pangalan o trabaho para makabuo ng perpektong pangungusap.

🌟 Special Focus: Introducing Myself (저는 … 입니다)

When you talk about yourself, use the word 저 (I) with the pattern. This is the most common way to start your self-introduction!

[TAGALOG] Kapag ipinapakilala mo ang iyong sarili, gamitin ang salitang 저 (Ako) sa pattern na ito. Ito ang pinaka-karaniwang paraan para simulan ang iyong self-introduction!

Pattern: 저는 + [Name/Job] + 입니다.

(저-는 [Pangalan/Trabaho] 입-니-다 / Jeo-neun [Name/Job] im-ni-da)

  • Example 1: I am Tuan.

    저는 투안입니다. (저-는 투-안-입-니-다 / Jeo-neun Tu-an-im-ni-da)

    English: I am Tuan. / [TAGALOG] Ako ay si Tuan.

  • Example 2: I am a worker.

    저는 근로자입니다. (저-는 근-로-자-입-니-다 / Jeo-neun geun-ro-ja-im-ni-da)

    English: I am a worker. / [TAGALOG] Ako ay isang manggagawa.

📖 How to complete your Pattern: 은 vs 는

To use the pattern correctly for other people, check the last letter of the Subject:

[TAGALOG] Para magamit nang tama ang pattern para sa ibang tao, tingnan ang huling letra ng Subject:

  1. Ends with a consonant (Batchim): Use 은 (eun)

    • 푸캄 (Pukham) + 은 → 푸캄은 (Pu-kam-eun)

  2. Ends with a vowel (No Batchim): Use 는 (neun)

    • 자야 (Jaya) + 는 → 자야는 (Ja-ya-neun)

    • 저 (I) + 는 → 저는 (Jeo-neun)
